TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Welcome to Master Movers. By booking our removals, transport, or moving services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These are in place to protect both our customers and our team and to ensure every move runs smoothly.

2. Services Provided

Master Movers provides professional moving and transport services across Greater London and the United Kingdom, including:

  • House Removals

  • Man and Van Hire

  • Office Removals

  • Furniture Delivery

  • Packers and Movers

  • Piano Removals

  • Fine Art Transport

  • Flatpack Assembly

  • International & Long-Distance Removals

All services are subject to availability and confirmation.

3. Quotes & Pricing

All quotes provided are based on the information supplied by the customer, including access, volume, and service requirements.

Hourly Rates

Our services are charged hourly unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Minimum Booking Time

All hourly bookings are subject to a minimum 2-hour charge, regardless of job duration.

Stair & Access Charges

A charge of £15 per flight of stairs may apply where lifts are unavailable or access is difficult.

Additional charges may also apply for:

  • Long walking distances from vehicle to property

  • Congestion charge zones

  • Parking restrictions or lack of loading access

  • Oversized or specialist items

4. Deposits & Booking Confirmation

To secure your booking, a 30% deposit is required.

A booking is only confirmed once:

  • The deposit has been received

  • Written confirmation has been issued by Master Movers

Deposits are deducted from the final balance.

5. Payment Terms

The remaining balance must be paid on completion of the job unless agreed otherwise.

We accept:

  • Cash

  • Credit/Debit Card

  • Bank Transfer

  • Apple Pay

Late or unpaid balances may result in additional charges.

6. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Customers may cancel or reschedule bookings by providing notice.

  • Cancellations made with sufficient notice may be eligible for deposit refund (at our discretion).

  • Late cancellations may result in loss of deposit due to reserved time and staffing costs.

Master Movers reserves the right to cancel a booking due to circumstances beyond our control (vehicle breakdown, extreme weather, emergencies). In such cases, deposits will be refunded or rescheduled.

7. Customer Responsibilities

To ensure a smooth move, customers must:

  • Provide accurate information about the job

  • Ensure safe and legal parking/loading access

  • Arrange permits if required

  • Pack items securely unless packing service is booked

  • Inform us in advance of fragile, high-value, or unusual items

Master Movers is not responsible for delays caused by incomplete customer preparation.

8. Goods in Transit Insurance

Master Movers provides Goods in Transit Insurance up to £10,000, covering items while in our care during transport.

This insurance does not cover:

  • Pre-existing damage

  • Poorly packed customer boxes

  • Items not disclosed as high-value

  • Jewellery, cash, or important documents (these should be carried personally)

Customers are encouraged to arrange additional insurance for extremely high-value goods.

9. Damage & Liability

We take great care with all belongings. However:

  • Claims must be reported within 24 hours of the move

  • Liability is limited in accordance with our insurance policy

  • We are not liable for damage caused by customer-packed items unless packing service was provided by us

10. Delays & Waiting Time

If delays occur due to:

  • Traffic congestion

  • Customer not being ready

  • Key collection issues

  • Building management restrictions

  • No parking availability

Waiting time may be chargeable at the hourly rate.

11. Refusal of Service

Master Movers reserves the right to refuse or stop work if:

  • The environment is unsafe

  • Aggressive or abusive behaviour occurs

  • Illegal items are requested for transport

  • Payment terms are not met

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
